Engineering and energy efficiency

An installation project is operated for decades and designed in a few months. Most are conceived with the commissioning day in mind rather than the thirty years that follow. We design them with the Facility Manager's eye: thinking about who will have to maintain them.

Installation projects

The company's life cycle brings the need for new production lines, extensions or layout changes. MYC delivers the project with one clear difference: it is conceived for its whole life cycle and not only for the build phase.

This is a classic mistake: projects are carried out without the Facility Manager's perspective and therefore end up configured in a way that does not suit operation. Access that is impossible for maintenance, equipment with no room to dismantle it, no redundancy where it matters, or instrumentation nobody will be able to calibrate are problems you pay for over twenty years.

  • Feasibility study, basic design and detailed design of industrial installations.
  • Technical specification of equipment and systems.
  • Comparison of tenders and selection of installers.
  • Design supervision and site management.
  • Acceptance, commissioning and final documentation for operation.

Network analysis and electrical studies

How the electrical installation behaves under a fault determines whether an incident stays a local trip or takes out half the plant. Electrical studies put numbers to that behaviour.

  • Electrical network analysis and short-circuit studies.
  • Protection selectivity studies at medium and low voltage.
  • Internal arc and electrical risk studies.
  • Analysis of supply quality, harmonics and reactive power compensation.
  • Verification of sizing ahead of increases in installed power.

Energy efficiency

Energy is one of the main sources of cost in any company. It is crucial to bring in systems to measure and analyse consumption so that the right decisions can be taken to reduce it. We provide support from a one-off analysis of consumption in particular areas or items of equipment through to the implementation of an energy management system and the monitoring of the data.

  • Audit and analysis of energy consumption by area, by line and by item of equipment.
  • Identification of savings measures with their investment and payback period.
  • Efficiency improvement projects in installations and production processes.
  • Implementation of energy measurement and management systems.
  • Continuous monitoring of consumption indicators and verification of savings.
  • Support with carbon footprint calculation and sustainability reporting.
